About aka what the hell, what the fuck
Sleep started it. Norn just took notes.
Sleep inspires Sleep Token, Sleep Token inspires Norn.
Norn has no control over where that inspiration goes. It usually goes wherever it likes.
Norn doesn’t stop it. Norn takes notes. A lot of notes.
Here’s the result.
Don’t blame Norn. Blame Sleep. He started all of this.
And now seriously, just in case someone decides to sue Norn for something.
Even though the narration is what it is, know this, reader: everything that came to be here is built on a foundation of enormous respect and admiration for the band. Norn can’t do pathos, Norn can’t do solemnity (well, maybe a little, but she doesn’t like it, it gives her hiccups), but Norn can do humour (or so she thinks, and let’s not correct her, let her keep at least one good thought about herself) and that humour is what she shares. It’s her love language (yes, the theory has since been debunked and professionally classified as bullshit, but it still works fine as filler) and you can either fight it or use it. Norn already has her hands full fighting other demons, so let her tend this one garden so it doesn’t grow over.
Oops. This was supposed to be serious.
Disclaimer aka please don’t sue Norn, Norn can’t afford a lawyer.
This is an independent collection of fiction inspired by the mythology, imagery and themes of Sleep Token.
These stories are creative interpretations rather than attempts to establish or expand official canon.
They are written simply because this particular mythology left enough room to wonder what might exist between the lines. And they answer the question of why it never came to light.
This website is non-commercial and unaffiliated with Sleep Token.
Any references to the Band and its members are purely literary fiction and have nothing to do with the real people.
The stories, the dreams, the interpretations are only a humble offering born of inspiration and admiration.
Worship.
Seek for your own interpretation. Find your own path.
P.S. Norn is reluctant to write about herself. But supposedly you’re expected to introduce yourself in the About section, even briefly. Who is Norn? In case the reader hasn’t noticed yet - a bit of an oddball. She likes to wander her own paths, which usually lead nowhere. And through the shrubbery. Norn has been writing since the age of nine. She possesses a big imagination, which she usually has to keep on a leash so as not to float off too high in her thoughts, but when she writes, she allows herself to unhook that leash. In her free time Norn reads, reads a lot, writes more and plays the piano, mangling the senses of everyone around her. Norn has no sense of rhythm, but that doesn’t stop her dancing to the beat of her own drum. Sadly, it isn’t a foxtrot. More of a jive.
