What one Sleep Token listener does with too much inspiration and no supervision whatsoever.
Norn, remember: greet the reader in a way that preserves your style but also flatters the algorithms. Do it so that Sleep Token, stories, lore and glossary all come up naturally. No pressure. The success of this entire site absolutely does not depend on it. Not in the slightest. Vessel would certainly know how to pull this off with grace.
Hidden Offering is - as the name suggests - the offering. For who, you ask? Norn asks herself that question too. But if someone happens to wander onto this site, spares the time to read her offering of words, and smiles as they read, or even chuckles. Well… for Norn that will be everything she could have asked for.
The site, like most sites, has sections, and they reflect the directions in which that inspiration ran off (usually without supervision).
Lore is a collection of definitions for words that don’t always need defining, bolted onto interpretations nobody asked for - a glossary attempting to cast new, frequently absurd light on words we all already know.
Stories are tales that explore the band’s lore (often stretching it to the very limits of what it will bear), putting the god Sleep in the spotlight (though not only him), and proving more than once that there is a good reason his rightful place is another dimension, far away from people.
Sleep holds the stories with Sleep and Sleep Token lore at their centre.
Beyond Sleep steps outside the band’s lore, for those occasions when other artists toss their own two pennies into the alembic of inspiration, producing results that surprise even their maker.
Sleep’s Blessings is the addition that felt like an absolute must-have - the dream journal of Norn, whom Sleep frequently blesses with dreams both lurid and deeply peculiar. Norn does not analyse them. Norn merely writes them down and shares the notes. A glimpse, if you like, into the subconscious of a Sleep Token sympathiser. Enter at your own risk (much as anywhere else, really).
He. He. He. Sorry. Or - Mi scusi.
